JOB TITLE: Tea Room Supervisor
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive salary dependent on experience reviewed annually following 1 years employment (usually in April)
WORKING HOURS: Full Time

THE COMPANY / ROLE: Our client operate one of the earliest and most historic steam train lines in the North of England and are currently looking for an experienced and customer focused Team Room Supervisor to work at Grosmont Tearoom (located at Grosmont Station, near Whitby, North Yorkshire).

Reporting to the Senior Tearoom Manager, the successful candidate will be involved in the preparation and cooking of various foods and drinks, rostering of staff and volunteers, cash handling, ordering of food, beverage and consumable supplies as well as ensuring all Food Hygiene, Health & Safety legislation is met and maintained in this busy 5* Food Standards Agency rated premises.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Tea Room Supervisor's role must have experience in a professional catering/kitchen operation and must have a Current Food Hygiene Certificate level 2 or above. It is essential you have excellent customer service skills with experience in a customer facing role and have experience managing or leading a team of staff. Candidates should be able to take a flexible approach to work & hours as weekends and Bank Holidays are standard working days, and be available to work over school holidays and NYMR special events- steam gala's, war weekend, Santa specials etc.

Due to the busy nature of the role and location of the role, candidates must be able to work under pressure in this physically demanding role and must have your own transport enabling you to commute to Grosmont & Goathland, (near Whitby, North Yorkshire)

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Tea Room Supervisors role :-

- Experience in a professional catering/kitchen operation essential
- Must have current Food Hygiene Certificate level 2 or above
- Must have experience in a customer facing role & experience leading/managing staff
- Must be able to take a flexible approach to work, and be a team player
- Must have own transport and be able to commute to Grosmont & Goathland, (near Whitby, North Yorkshire)
