Due to a period of exciting growth Newcross are now recruiting for experienced and professional Support Workers to work full or part time hours in the local area through our Bristol branch.

To ensure you are able to meet your guaranteed hours, you should be willing to travel to a variety of client locations within Bristol and the surrounding towns. Access to your own vehicle is desired.



The Position

Our services are designed to enable service users to live more independent and fulfilling lives, accessing the community and interacting with friends, family and local people. This could include supporting with appointments, outings and general household tasks. You will need to be passionate about quality of care and strive to ensure their needs are fully met.

We are seeking individuals with a naturally caring and compassionate approach to support several service users in the Bristol area. Previous experience working with clients presenting with learning disabilities or challenging behaviours would be advantageous.

You must be confident in delivering personal care with a mindful approach towards protecting the dignity of the individual and promoting their independence and will require care skills to work with several service users. You will be dedicated to empowering each individual in your care.

Your local branch is based on the second floor of Colston Tower in the middle of Bristol's vibrant city centre. We offer shifts not only within the centre of Bristol, but also in the outlying towns such as Yate, Keynsham and Ashton.



Person Specification

To apply for this support worker vacancy, you will need the right to live and work in the UK, at least 3 month's previous paid experience in a UK care environment and at least two referee contact details to include a supervisor who can comment on your clinical ability.

You'll also need a certificate confirming your participation in a practical moving and handling course in the last 12 months, or be willing to book onto a Newcross course
