Serious and organised crime is one of the greatest threats to our national security. Our mission at the National Crime Agency (NCA) is to lead the fight to cut serious and organised crime, using our national and international reach at the heart of the networked law enforcement community.

The Director General Operations is the most senior operational lead within the NCA. Working closely with a wide variety of professionals across the law enforcement community, intelligence agencies, government and the private sector,  and with a remit spanning 40 international locations you will be responsible for the agency’s intelligence, investigation and co-ordination functions, playing a pivotal role in enhancing the NCA’s understanding of serious and organised crime and providing leadership during critical incidents to UK security.

To succeed in this role, you will be an outstanding operational leader, with a solid record of delivering on high risk operations. You will have a flair for strategic operation and implementation, and the ability to forge strong relationships across boundaries. You will have a comprehensive knowledge of  law enforcement and/or intelligence services, and be committed to serving the public through the NCA’s values of flexibility, integrity, respect and transparency.
