We are looking for new members to join the team in our friendly home. In particular applicants with a professional attitude, and that special caring quality that sets them apart from the rest.
No experience is necessary as full training will be provided.
Your shifts will be interesting and varied as you assist residents in a variety of daily tasks and activities - providing them with personal choice wherever possible and helping to maintain their individual lifestyle preferences.
You will also assist residents at bedtimes and throughout the night, and carry out domestic tasks around the home.
It is beneficial for night carers to hold NVQ or Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care, but we are still happy to welcome you either way - and provide you with day shifts while we guide you through the necessary training and qualification needed to become a night carer.
You will be joining a team that delivers high quality person-centred care to people living with dementia and related mental health needs. As part of your role you will be encouraging and empowering residents to be individuals, to be active and involved, and to retain interests and hobbies as far as possible. To achieve this, you will utilise their individually tailored Care Plans to help establish the social, emotional, physical and spiritual needs of each resident. Ensuring that all daily care records are updated and are accurate and legible.
We strongly believe in developing the skills of our staff and offer an extensive range of training courses.
Full training will be provided, but experience and Diploma Level 2 (Dementia Pathway) would be beneficial
- NVQ or Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 or equivalent
- Specialist Dementia Practitioner or equivalent
