This Part Time Sales Assistant role is for an experienced retail sales person who is looking to work for a company whose emphasis is on excellent customer service.

Another element of this particular role is to assist in the Curtain Making workroom, preparing jobs for our makers and checking returned work.

Closs & Hamblin is a family run company who are celebrating successful High Street trading of 85 years this April. Our Winchester branch is looking for an experienced sales assistant for our busy Home Furnishing Department. The Home Furnishing Department specialises in Ready Made and Made To Measure curtains, tracks, blinds and shutters. C&H sells a variety of well-known branded furnishing fabrics such as Sanderson, Harlequin, Romo, Jane Churchill and many more…

Ideally candidates will have an interest in our products, as well as retail experience.

Closs & Hamblin trades 7 days a week and weekend working is essential to all sales roles.
This role is 29 hours per week over 5 days.

Product knowledge is useful but not essential. Good mathematical skills are important for these positions, as well as a commitment to providing excellent customer service. An ability to work in an organised manner and within a team are key qualities. Cash handling skills and an experience of stock control would be an advantage. Training and support is provided.

Salary: £11,310 pa

Hours: 29 per week. Weekend work essential.
