Your new school
Hays Education is currently working on behalf of an 'Outstanding' secondary school based in Gloucester that is currently looking for a highly experienced, passionate English specialist for a part-time position to start as soon as possible to the end of the academic year. You will join the English Department and work towards the academic progress of pupils, creating a stimulating environment and creatively delivering challenging and imaginative courses.
Your new role
In your new secondary teaching job, you will be required to teach English at KS3, delivering lessons with confidence and enthusiasm. You will create both practical and theoretical lessons that encourage pupil involvement, interaction and debate so each pupil grows in understanding through enjoyment of the subject.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have completed all relevant studies and have QTS/NQT or have relevant teaching experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up to date with recent curriculum changes. You will be an engaging, experienced English teacher with enthusiasm to teach challenging courses in a creative and imaginative manner. A real understanding of the subject area and passionate commitment to students' academic progress and personal growth are desired. You will also need strong classroom management skills and the drive to achieve academic excellence whilst emphasising the school's core values.
