Reporting into the Management Accountant we are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Finance Apprentice to undertake the following duties:

  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Checking and processing petty cash claims
  • Checking and processing internal recharges
  • Sales Ledger duties
  • General Duties

You will:

Learn the skills needed to help your team with the organisation and input of supplier invoices, as well as providing support for everything from processing the purchase order to reconciliation activity.

Quickly and efficiently resolve any financial queries or issues including working with other areas of the College.

Be responsible for the accurate input and analysis of data using a range of financial systems and spreadsheets.

Learn how to reconcile financial statements and investigate variations.

During your apprenticeship you will be given the opportunity to work towards your AAT Level 2 Qualification and then in following year’s move onto Level 3 & 4.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • GCSE Maths and English grade C qualifications or recognised equivalent
  • Good standards of written and verbal communication
  • Willingness to learn – enthusiastic about studying for an accounting qualification
  • Able to work in a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Self motivated and organised
