We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well resourced secondary school Cranbrook who are hoping to hire an experienced ICT with Business Teacher until July 2018 with view to go permanent after the summer holidays. The adaptable teacher will be expected to facilitate learning for pupils in KS3, KS4 and A Level.
The role is on a part time basis of 2.5 days a week. However, the Head has stated that they are happy to consider Teachers on a full time basis, providing that they are happy to undertake ‘general cover’ responsibilities on the remaining 2.5 days.
The school is based in a rural setting, on the borders of East Sussex and Kent. The selected candidate would therefore need to be a car owner as there are limited public transport connections within the area.
About the role
The selected candidate will be working with other members of the ‘ICT & Enterprise department’ to ensure a positive learning environment for all students.
In the schools 2016 ‘Ofsted report’, the school was praised for it’s dedication to professional development and commitment to all staff members.
What you will need to apply
To be considered for the above position, you will need:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/ QTLS)- This can be obtained via the traditional PGCE route or Teach First/ SCITT
• At least 2-3 years experience teaching in the UK. (Although the school are happy to consider teachers who were trained in Australia/ New Zealand/ Canada)
• Have a valid DBS registered to the DBS Update Service.
• Be able to provide 2 references from your 2 most recent employers.
