JOB TITLE: Funeral Arranger / Administrator

LOCATION: Buxton, Derbyshire near Macclesfield

SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary is negotiable. There is a six month probationary period either way and 20 days holiday per year.

WORKING HOURS: Office Hours 9.00am – 5.00pm (Monday – Friday)
THE COMPANY: Our client has served the local community for over 100 years as a Funeral Directors. They offer professional guidance and advice at a time when family and friends are suffering from shock and emotional stress following a death. We are currently recruiting for a Funeral Arranger / Administrator to join their team in Buxton, Derbyshire near Macclesfield.

THE ROLE: The duties for the Funeral Arranger / Administrator role in Buxton, Derbyshire near Macclesfield will include the following with training on in-house computer programmes provided:

General duties include receiving instructions over the telephone, taking specific instructions from families, arranging for necessary documentation with hospitals and doctors

Meet the public in the course of making funeral arrangements, liaising with the bereaved families, hospitals, nursing homes, crematoria, church ministers and Coroner’s Officers

Required to show families into the Chapel of Rest, escort doctors into the mortuary, supervise floral tributes for outgoing funerals and confirmation of funeral arrangements

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Funeral Arranger / Administrator position will be a person of smart appearance with excellent telephone manner and written skills. The service provided must, at all times, be first class and the care and consideration of the families’ needs and requirements is of the utmost importance. We therefore require a person with a positive attitude, with plenty of initiative to learn the procedures and quickly become a valuable member of a busy working team.

Key Experience/ Characteristics essential for the Funeral Arranger / Administrator position based in Buxton, Derbyshire near Macclesfield:

Good knowledge of standard office procedures and the use of computers is required.
Ability to work as part of a team
The applicant must hold a driving licence.
