Prince’s Trust Assistant Team Leader

SCCH is delivering the Princes Trust team Leader qualification in the Hastings area and is seeking an Assistant Team Leader for full time fixed term role.

The Team programme is one of The Prince’s Trust’s most long-standing and core programmes. It is a full-time 12-week personal development programme for 16 – 25 year olds largely delivered through community work. Its primary aim is to build confidence, motivation and skills to help unemployed young people return to education and move into employment. It is the Team Leader’s responsibility to deliver the Team programme directly in line with the Toolkit, KPIs and targets and you will be required to attend a two week training course in order to be able to deliver this.

Overall Purpose:

  • To provide intensive support to 16-25 year old Prince’s Trust participants ensuring project targets are met. To ensure these learners have access to appropriate support before , during and after their transition.
The role is highly demanding and you will need to have drive, determination, excellent interpersonal skills, with a positive and flexible approach to working. You will also have the ability to work enthusiastically and reliably under pressure and need to be able to manage your time effectively, as the work involved would be both on and off site. In addition, you will have excellent verbal and written communication with service users, professional and other team members.

You will have significant experience of delivering groups and working directly with young people. You need to be able to work in an innovative, creative and strengths-based way, in order to support young people in achieving their individual goals and plans.

The vacancy is full time, fixed term until 31/12/2018
