Are you looking for your next career move? Could you mentor a team whilst supporting people with learning disabilities?

We have a vacancy for a full-time Senior Support Worker at our supported living service in the Batchley area of Redditch. This role is for 38 hours per week.

About the role

You will play a key part assisting the people we support to live as independently as possible, joining in with their favourite pastimes and hobbies and helping them be active members of their local community. You will work with them to learn new skills.

As a Senior practitioner, you'll support your frontline manager with developing rotas, and deputising for them in their absence. You'll work with the staff team, carrying out supervisions, mentoring them and identifying training opportunities, whether formal or informal.

This may be a great opportunity for you if you have experience as a care worker supporting vulnerable people and want to take the next step in your career leading a staff team.

You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins.

You will need some experience working with vulnerable people, ideally those with learning disabilities. Perhaps you have been a Support Worker or Care Assistant and are now looking to step up to a more senior role with more responsibilities and greater challenges.

You will need to be flexible and organised, with a positive approach.

You will need to hold a full manual driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK, together with your own transport which is insured for business use.
