Your new role
Reporting into the Chief Operation Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the business meets all compliance requirements and obligations through the effective implementation of new and updated policies, procedures and work instructions.
This role will require you to carry out a large amount of tasks and effectively balance a large caseload throughout the year to ensure Audits are consistently passed with flying colours. You will be responsible for all health and safety functions, the company's environmental and agricultural compliance in accordance with associated legislation, implementing the quality control systems and procedures for each department, assisting with or conducting internal/external audits to ensure certification is maintained at the correct standard, ensure company targets are met, responsible for the employees internal compliance, maintain and develop relationships with external auditors, to keep up to date with current legislation and codes of conduct.
What you'll need to succeed
As a bare minimum you must have previous compliance and health & safety management experience within any industry as well as being able to demonstrate the ability to conduct internal audits and work with auditors to pass external audits. Additionally you must be able to work within a fast paced environment and have the highest attention to detail. You must ensure you can work collaboratively and communicate effectively with all staff and levels of seniority, you must also be approachable and friendly with all staff, you must also be hard-working, committed, and dynamic with your work ethic. The ideal candidate will have industry specific experience but this is not essential.
What you'll get in return
A very competitive salary of £42,000 - £45,000 p/a + great company benefits. You will have access to free onsite parking as well as great working hours of 8:30 - 5 (1 hour lunch) from Monday to Friday. You will be fully inducted upon starting and be shadowed with a part time compliance specialist to ensure you hit the ground running.
