The Digital Marketing Apprentice will assist the Marketing Team in producing, implementing and evaluating a range of marketing and communications activities designed to maximise exposure, stimulate interest, and help to increase College recruitment.This will be a varied role and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on a range of; campaigns, web and blog content, social media content, online advertising, email marketing and events.

The post-holder will report on a day-to-day basis to the Digital Marketing Officer and will be accountable for:

  • Monitoring, amending and formatting web content
  • Undertake day-to-day web updates using our online Content Management System (CMS)
  • Build new web pages, update links and format web content using the CMS
  • Select, crop and resize images for web pages
  • Delivery and monitoring of web advertising campaigns, including and social media streams
  • Plan, schedule and implement Facebook, Twitter and Instagram campaigns
  • Create, amend and resize simple web advertising
  • Develop and implement creative ways to increase social media engagement
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives designed to improve brand perception, increase brand awareness and drive traffic to the website
  • Providing administration support for marketing activities
  • Use excel to update marketing plans and budget sheets
  • Use the college Purchase Order System and track purchases made
  • Support the organisation of College events
  • Source and order promotional merchandise providing value for money
  • Organise the distribution of marketing materials to the wider community
  • Provide support with internal communications to students
  • Monitor press coverage and report back to the Marketing Team
  • Complying with College wide policies and procedures
  • Agree objectives with the line manager and ensure they are achieved
  • Comply with the College’s health and safety policy
  • Work to promote and contribute to the College’s Equal Opportunities Policy
  • Apply the College’s safeguarding policy and practices
  • Comply with the College’s procedures in relation to the requirements of the Data Protection Act
  • Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required
