Full Time

As a Senior Nurse (General) with Barchester, your leadership skills will ensure everyone in your charge has their physical, psychological and social needs met so they can get the most out of life. As a hands-on clinical leader, you'll not only supervise the delivery of the highest-quality nursing care - you'll provide it too.
Whether you're assessing the needs of a new resident, implementing safeguarding policies, taking part in audits, or ensuring we're keeping scrupulous records, you'll be an inspiration to your team. You'll support and mentor them, and make sure they have the clinical training they need to provide the very best care. We'll also look to you to manage stock levels and the administration of medicines in line with NMC regulations.

To join us as a Senior Nurse you should have a current NMC registration, RN (General), along with a mentoring or supervision qualification. As well as that, you'll be up-to-date with the most recent clinical practices, with experience of producing care plans and detailed risk assessments. We'll also want to see an understanding of regulatory frameworks, along with DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines. We're looking for a natural leader and problem solver - someone who's worked with older people and acted as a clinical mentor, including supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship. Your can-do attitude and resilient nature mean you have a strong track record of delivering improvements in care.

As well as a competitive salary, Barchester is offering our Senior Nurse one of the best rewards packages in the care sector. Your generous benefits will include:
* Free learning and development
* Automatic enrolment into our profit share scheme
* Access to childcare vouchers
* A range of holiday, retail and leisure discounts
* Nurse Mentor and Refer a Friend bonus schemes
* Offer to pay Tier 2 visa application fee for eligible nurses*

If you have the clinical and people skills needed to support the delivery of person-centred care and you'd like to work with an organisation that provides the type of care you'd expect for your loved ones, this is a rewarding and empowering place to be.
If you'd like to find out more about this role, you're very welcome to pop in for an informal chat with our Care Home Manager.
