Do you enjoy a bit of train-spotting? Could you support young men with learning disabilities, helping them live on their own terms?

You'll be a Support Worker at a small residential service in Abingdon, where we provide specialist support for three young men who have learning disabilities and autism. Taking a therapeutic approach, the service has been custom-adapted and designed specifically for them. You'll support them to learn new life skills and to enjoy favourite activities like trains, computers, music and swimming.

You will find this job particularly relevant if you have an interest in psychology, or want to make a career working with people on the autistic spectrum. The men can present with challenging behaviour and we will provide you with full training in positive behaviour support approaches.

You can choose from either a full-time (38 hpw) or part-time (negotiable) role. You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins.

Holding a full manual driving licence in order to drive the service motability vehicle would be preferred and desirable, however not essential.
