Lingfield Park Resort has an exciting new opportunity for a Restaurant Waiting Team Member in our Hotel Restaurant. We are a unique resort based over 450 acres and comprise of one of the UK’s busiest racecourses. Set beside the racecourse is the 4* Marriott franchise hotel with 116 luxurious rooms, where guests are able to stay in the hotel with magnificent views over the racecourse, golf course and surrounding countryside. They will also be able to enjoy using the relaxing Breathe Spa facilities and our PGA Championship 18-hole Golf Course.

Key responsibilities for the role will include:

  • Greeting and serving customers for lunches as part of Hotel, Spa or Conferences packages
  • Greeting and serving customers for dinners as part of Hotel packages or special occasion celebrations and visits – including Chefs Table experience
  • Giving customers information about the menu, ingredients and specials
  • Taking customer food and drink orders
  • Helping to make customer’s experience memorable
  • Delivering Room Service orders
  • Answering questions relating to allergens and special dietary requirements
  • Working with the Restaurant Team under the Restaurant Manager to ensure that customers receive excellent service
  • Working with the Kitchen Team, Bars Team and Front Desk Teams to ensure that the whole customer experience is seamless

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Has previous experience in either F&B, C&B or customer service related role
  • Previous F&B experience is an advantage
  • Has a passion for food and catering
  • Likes to meet new people and works well in a team
  • Likes to work in a busy environment
  • Likes to make customers feel special and make their stay memorable
  • Works well with other teams
  • Has strong attention to detail
  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Is able to be flexible with shifts depending on business needs, including working at the weekend
