Ventry Residential Care is recruiting Care Assistants for day shifts in residential homes in N10/N12/N13 / N20. We care for older persons, and older persons living with dementia.

THE ROLE

Your duties will include personal care, moving and handling, mealtime support, social activities, and those various other tasks required to support the residents we care for. You will build strong relationships with all those around you, making sure family and friends feel welcomed, that health care professionals are kept well-informed, and that you are keeping your team leader up to speed with residents needs and progress. As a team player, you will follow guidelines and policies and have good written skills to support residents care plans.

Along with helping our residents meet their health needs you will also help them to live a full life; to be more independent, to enjoy their daily activities, and to exercise choice in their day-to-day living. Whether you are assisting your team leader, completing care paperwork, or lending someone a hand to eat their lunch, you will make all the residents you care for feel safe, comfortable and secure. In other words, you will make them feel right at home.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU?

Competitive pay rates that are regularly reviewed to ensure we are offering the best incentives for you to work with us. Rates start from £7.83 per hour, rising to £8.50 depending on your experience and qualifications.

Between 24 to 48 hours work per week.

We also offer:

A £150 refer a friend scheme.

Full and part time positions, offering you flexible hours to enable you to balance work and home life.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO HAVE?

Ideally you will have experience working with older people in residential care, but so long as you are willing to learn, are flexible, patient, caring, organised, enthusiastic and great with people, then we can train you.

If you do not have it already, you will need to be willing to work towards your QCF 1-5 (NVQ 2 or 3 in Care).

Ongoing training will be provided and job advancement is available and supported to ensure you enjoy fulfilling career development.

You will need to be flexible to work shifts on a rota basis.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO?

Please forward your CV with full contact details (including postcode so we can best place you in relation to positions available).

On receipt your application will be reviewed and you may be invited for interview with a decision on your employment made thereafter.

Our passion is care and support. If you would like a meaningful career making a positive impact to the lives of those who require care and support, then please apply now!
