Your RoleOur Housekeepers are key and responsible members of domestic team in maintaining the highest level of cleanliness standards in our luxury care homes. They report to and assist the Service & Relationship Manager.As an integral part of the care home family, they play a huge part in ensuring our residents live in a clean and safe environment enabling them to live full and enriched lives.By providing the highest standards our homes a great place to live and work.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the what they do to join our team.All levels of experience are welcome to apply as we offer full induction training and support our care home staff to progress through their NVQs all the way to the highest levels of care.

We require:

·Numeracy and literacy

·Personable and professional communication skills

·Ability to work well in a team

·Reliability, flexibility and punctuality

·Familiarity with iPhone/iPod an advantage

·Willingness to develop new skills

·Assisting the Service & Relationship manager with all reasonable requests

·Ensuring all rooms are clean, tidy, presentable, dressed and move in ready.

·Following a schedule of deep cleaning for all resident rooms, communal areas and back of house areas on a monthly basis

·Being responsive to any incidents which require immediate attention

·Maintaining the highest standards of infection control at all times

·Represent Oakdale Care Group at all times in a professional manner

Role Responsibilities

Being an Oakdale Housekeeper means your core focus is ensuring that all areas of the care home is cleaned to the highest standard in order to meet the residents’ and the Home’s needs.Key responsibilities include:

·Operating as part of a close knit staff team to ensure duties are completed to the highest standard in line with the cleaning schedules in a timely manner.

·Understanding and complying with all statutory and legal requirements that are relevant such as health and safety and COSHH to ensure a safe and efficient cleaning service within the home.

·Checking all areas of the home are supplied with adequate housekeeping items and inform your manager of any shortages.

·Always being alert and using your own initiative, spot cleaning any spillages as they occur to maintain a safe environment.

·Working well as part of a dynamic team to ensure that any domestic needs of a resident’s care is met, enabling their personal choice to be reflected throughout their care journey.
