Calling all Accounts Administrators! If you’re looking for your new career adventure or even just fancy a change of environment/workplace then this position could be for you!

Our client is one of Yorkshire’s leading social enterprises that supply ethically sourced new and used office furniture. Based in LS11, they are looking for an experienced part time Accounts Administrator to ensure that the Financial Accounts and Systems are kept up to date. The role is initially on a temporary basis for 2-3 months; however it may be extended if the candidate was successful in the role.
You will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, working in a small busy team. This is a key role and the successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly with regards to business needs and requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

•Inputting of Sales Invoices and Credit notes on Xero. Sending all Customer invoices and statements out via email.
•Inputting of Supplier and purchase invoices on Xero
•Creating Purchase Orders for sales
•Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, Bank and Cash
•Create VAT returns and ensure prompt payment
•Reconcile Creditor ledgers and supplier statements
•Ensure Payroll information is sent for processing and to make payroll payments, including PAYE and NIC
•Ensure a tight Credit Control position is kept
•Set up supplier payments for authorisation by the CEO
•Liaise with the Sales team to inform of sales monies received in order to process the order
•Approve Order Acknowledgements against Purchase orders
•Maintain Petty Cash on Xero
•Open all Incoming Post
•Take customer payments via Worldpay
•Place Stationary/tool/Uniform orders – setting up a system for requisition by staff on an as and when needed basis
•Oversee budget spending and to keep CEO informed on a regular basis of financial position

Person Specification:

•Experience of working in a busy accounts department is essential
•A good working knowledge of Xero or similar package is desirable
•Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
•Excellent time management and organisational skills
