We are currently recruiting for a Qlik Developer to be part of our Personal Lines Performance and Insight Team! The role is a fixed-term contract until December 2021 and it can be homebased.

You will be joining a high performing team at the heart of the Personal Lines (PL) business. The team is responsible for enabling informed decisions through the provision of quality and timely MI using the latest in business intelligence software.

As one of our Qlik Developers you will build automated, self-service solutions in Qlik Sense. Working with the Lead Developer to design and build efficient data models, you will extract, transform and visualise data providing insightful, easy to use dashboards. You will be inquisitive and enjoy problem solving with a performance MI background (Business Intelligence, Tableau Developer, MI Developer or BI Developer). Along with experience in data transformation, and able to combine creativity with an eye for detail to design and develop insightful and easy to use data visualisations.

Responsibilities in the role:

  • Maintain coding standards and best practice of database structure
  • Deliverer high-quality solutions using Agile methodology
  • A self-starter that's equally comfortable collaborating or working on your own
  • Able to multitask and adapt to evolving or change in priorities
  • Use Agile methodology/work in sprints to deliver usable elements of the overall build, tracking progress through JIRA

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Experience developing BI solutions in Qlik Sense/QlikView
  • Practical experience of database design and data transformation, supported by ETL processes
  • Experience with script writing in SQL or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience working with Personal Lines data - desirable
  • Good numeracy with the ability to analyse data
  • Qualifications are desirable however; relevant experience and attitude are more important than specific qualifications
